What is Hypnotherapy? Hypnotherapy is the use of hypnosis for therapeutic purposes, such as addressing anxiety, phobias, trauma or habits.
Is Hypnosis Safe? Yes, hypnotherapy is considered very safe when practiced by a qualified professional.
Can everyone be hypnotized? Yes, everyone can be hypnotized If they are receptive and willing.
Is Hypnotherapy like stage hypnosis? No, stage hypnosis is for entertainment and involves different techniques than hypnotherapy, which is a therapeutic process.
Will I be asleep or out of control? No, you are not asleep during hypnotherapy and you are always in control.
Is it scientifically proven? While not all aspects of hypnosis have been studied, there is a growing body of scientific evidence supporting its effectiveness for various conditions.
What happens during a session? We will discuss your reasons for the session, any physical issues and hear your life story starting in childhood up to present day. The interview portion lasts 2+ hours. You will then relax and be induced into a theta brainwave state. At this point we rely on the subconscious to guide the session to get the answers the client is seeking. Once back in full consciousness, we discuss your experience and how to process what you learned.
How long does the session last? Typically a session lasts 4+ hours from start to finish
Do I need to do any preparations prior to the session? Bring your questions and intentions written down to the session for review. Wear comfortable clothing, eat a light meal and bring some water. Don't forget to get excited! This is fun!
